Diabetic Clinic

BITS Medical Centre runs a diabetic clinic. Patients who suffer from diabetes are invited to be assessed on regular bases. The diabetic reviews includes the following components:

• A medical component, including HbA1c, blood pressure, weight, medication and immunisation status
• A physical component, including exercise, activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility
• A psychological component, including wellbeing; and a social component, including adequacy of social support, carers and formal help arrangements

We have a weekly visiting diabetes educator.
